Rev. Terry Small
In February 2007, the Board of Directors of the Iowa District East appointed the Rev. Terry Small to be our Executive Director. Pastor Small had been serving as the Interim Camp Director since May 2, 2006. Pastor Small also serves as the Camp Pastor providing spiritual leadership for the camp.
Pastor Small, a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Madison, WI and Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, MO, has served congregations in Minnesota and Missouri for eleven years. He has six years experience (three as Chairman) on a camp board of another LC-MS camp where he was intimately involved in the restructuring and revival of that camp. Prior to his ordination, Pastor Small had diverse employment experience, including fundraising, financial planning, promotion, organization, staff supervision, and management. He also has written LifeLight Bible Studies for Concordia Publishing House.
Pastor Small lives on the camp with his wife Debby and daughter Angela, and their two miniature schnauzers. He and his family enjoy camp life, having frequently attended family camps, youth camps, and have accompanied him as he served as the camp pastor of the week. Pastor Small and his family are pleased to be a part of the Io-Dis-E-Ca family and look forward to meeting you when you visit camp.
